  School Age Progressive Gymnastics
 

Boys and girls ages 6 and older are taught basic, intermediate and advanced gymnastic skills. Learn skills on bars, beam, vault, floor and mini tramp.

Rollers Level 1:
Participation is designed to enhance strength, balance and flexibility on all gymnastic apparatus; vault, uneven parallel bars, balance beam and floor. Youth level 1 will work on the following skills:
Floor: cartwheels, handstands hold, jumps
Bars: casting skills
Beam: jumps, releve walks, high kicks
Vault: squat-on, straight jump to stick

Spring Sessions:
Monday @ 4:45 - 5:30pm
Monday @ 7:00 - 7:45pm
Thursday @ 4:45 - 5:30pm
Summer Sessions:
Tuesday @ 5:15 - 6:00pm
Thursday @ 6:00 - 6:45pm



Cartwheelers Level 2:
This class is designed for those eager to develop their skills and continue in gymnastics at a quicker pace. Youth level 2 will work on the following skills:
Floor: backbend kick over, handstand roll, levers, round offs
Bars: pullover, back hip circle, under swing
Beam: lever in & out, lepas and turns
Vault: pike on, hollow body fall, table top position

Spring Sessions:
Monday @ 4:45 - 5:30pm
Monday @ 7:00 - 7:45pm
Thursday @ 4:45 - 5:30pm
Summer Sessions:
Tuesday @ 6:30 - 7:15pm
Thursday @ 5:15 - 6:00pm



Aerials Level 3:
Intermediate level gymnastics that focuses on skill development, conditioning and flexibility. This is a fun and fast paced class that works on advanced gymnastic skills. Participants will concentrate on body form and technique while developing the skills necessary for the competitive gymnastics team. Youth level 3 will work on the following skills:
Floor: walkovers front & back, handsprings
Bars: glide kip, casts, hip circles
Beam: handstands, roll, leaps
Vault: hand spring

Spring Sessions:
Monday @ 5:30 - 6:30pm
Thursday @ 5:30 - 6:30pm
Summer Sessions:
Thursday @ 4:15 - 5:15pm


Jr. Stars(Pre-team) Gymnastics:
This is a fun and fast paced class that works on advanced gymnastics skills. Participants will concentrate on body form and technique while developing the skills necessary for the competitive gymnastics team. This class focuses on preparation for advancement to the gymnastics team. The Jr. Stars will help at the SWC home gymnastics meet on March 13, 2010. (Prerequisite: Level 3 skills passed).

Spring Sessions:
Monday @ 5:00 - 7:00pm
Summer Sessions:
Tuesday @ 4:45 - 6:45pm

$31 member fee.....$55 non-member fee
Fees for Level 3 Spring Sessions:

**Gymnastics Exhibition & Ice Cream Social
All gymnastic participants in Rollers, Cartwheelers, Aerials & Jr. Stars in Spring Session #2 are welcome to perform for their families. The Ice Cream Social will follow the gymnastics exhibition in the Youth Center.
