Whether you’re reconnecting with family members during Y Family Night, learning how to combat Type II Diabetes in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program, discovering new skills in a class or sports league, or simply burning off a few pesky calories in pilates, the Y is a place where you can make yourself healthier every day—and in every respect.

GROUP EXERCISE
Whether you are new to exercise or getting back to it, group exercise is a great way to get moving, make friends, and stay motivated. We have classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
PERSONAL TRAINING
Through one-on-one instruction, our certified personal trainers will design an individual program structured just for you! Perfect for a beginner or advanced exerciser looking to move to the next level.
Walking Club
Walking Club meets every Thursday 12:00-1:00pm. Walk outside until weather isn’t cooperating, then utilize the YMCA’s indoor track on the second floor. Cost is $5 per month and goes towards a monthly potluck on the last Thursday of the month.
Lunch and Learn
Join Tianna Hamm our Registered Dietician, for lunch and learn where you can learn your new favorite recipe. All ingredients and instruction provided for the class! Try a different lunch theme with Tianna monthly. Pre-Registration is Required.
Adult Open Soccer
Have a love of soccer? Join our Open Soccer nights in Port Edwards with other adults who also just want to play this kickin’ fun sport! This winter program is designed for high school age and above during the winter season. All participants must register before playing.
PICKLEBALL LESSONS
South Wood County YMCA is now offering private pickleball lessons. We will have
one day clinics, private, semi private and group lessons to choose from. These lessons will give you and
your friends the opportunity to learn the game and improve.
Stepping On Workshop
Stepping On can help you avoid a dangerous and costly fall, so you can keep doing the things you love to do. Hear from the Experts Physical Therapist Strength and balance Optometrist & Pharmacist Vision, hearing and medication increase fall risk. Community Safety Expert Avoid hazards in your home

FOREVERWELL (55+) GROUP
As a leading voice on improving overall health, the Y accepts the responsibility to find ways to serve our aging population, not only for individual health and well-being, but for overall community health. The South Wood County YMCA encourages all adults to develop behavior that is crucial to healthy aging, including healthy eating, physical activity, and social interaction. Local and statewide bus trips are also part of the fun of this social group*. ForeverWell meets every Monday from 11:15-12:15p in the teaching kitchen. See monthly calendar for more information. This is member benefit and does not cost anything to participate. (*Bus trips will have a cost associated)
OPEN POOL
Swimming is a life skill as well as great exercise and a challenging sport. We offer swim lessons (for all ages), family swim, competitive swimming, and many kinds of adaptive swim programs for kids with special needs, so we can all safely enjoy the pleasures of an aquatic environment. Whether it’s learning how to swim, perfecting your stroke or staying fit, the Y has a program that’s right for you.

MEN’S PICK-UP BASKETBALL
Day: Mon/Wed/Fri
Time: 8:00-10:00am
This program is open to any Y members interested in playing. Pick-up games can be played full-court or half-court, depending on the number of players participating and general player preference. Pick-up basketball will be available to play in the gymnasium during scheduled times. Schedule subject to change.

Come join the fun while meeting new friends. Pickleball is a paddle based sport that is one of the fastest growing games and is loved by many. Nets and equipment are available.
